Tze'irim sponsors a variety of special events each year. Most special events coincide with the Jewish Holidays at different points during the year. Around the High Holidays, we have holiday lunches and dinners in people's homes. We host an annual Chanukkah party, a Mimouna bar night (clebration as Passover ends) and participate at the BJ Simchat Torah festivities and Purim party. Other special events have included taking in a Yankee game, ice skating in Bryant Park, touring the Jewish Museum, wine tastings, an Upper West Side restaurant tour, film screenings and others.

Tze'irim participates in several retreats over the year. SukkahFest at Camp Isabellab Friedman and Elat Chayim, is a retreat during the holiday of Sukkot that is specifically for Jews in their 20s and 30s. In both 2006 and 2007, Tze'irim sent a group from the NY area and we met people from Boston, California, Toronto and Montreal among other places.

We also participate in Limmud NY which is held in the NY area during the winter months. At this Jewish Learning conference, Jews from diverse backgrounds, cultures, mindsets and ages are invited to bring their creativity, experience and teachings to shape a dynamic weekend fostering personal growth.

B'nai Jeshurun hosts a Women's Retreat and a Meditation Retreat each Spring. Last year's Women's Retreat event at Isabella Friedman was attended by several Tze'irim members.

Over the past year, as Tze'irim has grown to 1000 members, we have given back to the community by hosting several international student events. This year, we held Shabbat events with Jewish students from Australia, a British Invasion Shabbat dinner with students from London and welcomed Metro International students from a variety of countries and religions to participate in a program at BJ.
